Posted 13/4-10 at 22.45

The UKDPC, the national umbrella organization for British DPOs, has launched its 2010 manifesto to coincide with the May General Election. The Manifesto sets out 12 specific demands that it sees as essential for justice and rights for disabled people in 2010.

These are grouped under five headings:

  • Human Rights
  • The UN Convention
  • The Status Of Disability In Government
  • Independent Living
  • Voice and Co-production

In his UKDPC blog, Theo Blackmore offers an excellent list of suggested questions, drawn from the Manifesto, that disabled people might want to ask their prospective candidates.
