UN Convention to Promote & Protect the Rights & Dignity of Persons with Disabilities

This page is intended to provide links to information relating to the elaboration of an international legal instrument to protect the rights and dignity of disabled people.

From here, you will be able to link to other websites that have information relating to the process, read reports and bulletins

No matter how complicated or high-powered the process may now seem, none of us should forget that it is grassroots activism that has brought us this far. A Convention, when it is adopted, will not be given to us as a gift but will have been won by the effort of disabled people, and our supporters, who have pressed the case for such a legal instrument for decades.
